Last season ended on a bittersweet note as a brilliant first campaign back in the Premier League was followed up by the departures of Gaetano Berardi and Pablo Hernandez.

Pablo Hernandez will always be remembered as a Leeds legend for the role he played in getting Leeds promoted; the Spaniard, who now plays for his hometown club Castellon, has spoken about life since leaving Leeds. “It was five years where I connected very well with the fans.”

“I get hundreds of messages after every game from Leeds fans who follow Castellon.” Pablo continued. It’s unsurprising that Leeds fans will continue to send affection to Pablo after everything he has done for the club. “For me, it is a source of pride and I am very grateful because I have felt very loved there.”

Whilst it may be sad that Pablo has left Leeds, fans will always remember him fondly for the role he played in getting Leeds back to where they belong. The goal against Swansea will be forever remembered in Leeds folklore.
