According to Football Insider, Victor Orta is in talks with Sevilla.
The Spaniard left Leeds by mutual consent over a week ago. The club board held crisis talks after a 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth and decided to sack Orta and Head Coach Javi Gracia. Earlier this season there were reports that Leeds would sack Orta if the campaign ended on a poor note.
This news came after the club backed Orta and Jesse Marsch last summer, bringing in big money signings in consecutive transfer windows. The likes of Aaronson, Tyler Adams, Weston McKennie and Georginio Rutter were brought in, but the results have failed to reflect on the pitch.
The Football Insider report reveals that Orta held talks with Sevilla recently. The La Liga side want to bring him in to become their new director of football. A return to Seville is ‘likely’ for Orta but a deal has not yet been confirmed even though both parties are confident of reaching an agreement.
