Brenden Aaronson won a section of the Leeds United supporters with his hard work and graft last season as he helped the Whites finish 14th in the Premier League.
The United States international has had detractors at Leeds and has often been accused of being too lightweight for the Premier League. His attacking output has been an issue at Elland Road.
However, his willingness to work his socks off for the team made him Daniel Farke’s favourite, and he eventually won over several Leeds supporters last season.
He is currently preparing for the World Cup with the US national team, and a West Ham fan found a way to pitch a laughable request to the Leeds star.
West Ham supporter taps up Brenden Aaronson
Brenden Aaronson scored against West Ham in a 2-1 win for Leeds at Elland Road in October last year, and it seems the Hammers supporters remember.
He also worked hard on the final day of the season at the London Stadium and featured in the FA Cup quarter-final win over West Ham as well.
The Hammers suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, and they will not be on Aaronson’s mind in the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
However, he appears to be well regarded by West Ham supporters, with one fan even urging the club to sign him if they secure promotion next season.
An American West Ham fan made that bizarre request as the Leeds star was signing autographs on the sidelines of the United States team training session.
Journalist Ben Jacobs posted the video on his X feed, where the West Ham fan is heard saying, “If we get promoted, you better consider us!”

Leeds have a decision to make
Brenden Aaronson has a year left on his Leeds contract, and the club may have a decision to make on his future in the upcoming transfer window.
Daniel Farke is a huge admirer of the American attacking midfielder. However, Leeds have to decide whether they want to offer him a new contract.
