The results over the weekend could not have gone better for Leeds United. The Whites were able to record a huge win over Burnley at Elland Road to kick off the fixtures.

With their points tally now at 43 points, the club are virtually safe and can confirm their place in the top flight next season as early as next weekend. Goals from Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were enough to stroll to a win against the already relegated Clarets side.

Leeds were also handed a huge boost; West Ham lost over the weekend, which leaves Daniel Farke’s side on the brink of survival. Next weekend’s results will determine how early the Whites can be safe from relegation.

Leeds United man revealed mentality behind unbeaten

Things have changed so much since the club returned from the international break; after picking up two points from four games, things were looking bleak. But now, Leeds United have gone four games unbeaten in the Premier League. This includes some impressive results against Manchester United and Bournemouth.

Noah Okafor has spoken about the team’s mentality during this run.

“To all of the people on the outside world, maybe yes. We enjoy the moment and we enjoy the three points.” via BBC Sport.

“We don’t care about the other results, we look at ourselves. There are still three games left and we’ll see what happens.”

Farke’s side have managed to score 10 goals during this run, and have conceded just four – which is an impressive run for this side.

Noah Okafor has been a huge boost since his return

At a point, Leeds looked bereft of attacking ideas during their games. They could not score or get on the end of chances, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin looking increasingly isolated. But with the return of Noah Okafor, the team has gone up a whole new level.

The winger’s return has brought pace and directness back into attack, with the Whites having another player to rely on up front. After scoring in the 3-1 win over Burnley at Elland Road, the Swiss international had this to say to BBC Sport.

“I work hard for moments like this. When I’m fit, I give everything to help the team. It was another great day.”

His contribution has been huge at this part of the season, and he has proven why the 49ers were right to spend that cash on him. Daniel Farke also deserves a lot of credit for how he has managed him even during his poor patches in this campaign.
