”We have quality in every position now” – Manager says £10M Leeds United star is a welcome addition after instant impact on the team

The final week of the transfer window was a long one for Leeds United. With the club scrambling to sign players, they needed to move quickly before the deadline passed.

But that week saw more departures than transfers, as the club sealed some exits. Isaac Schmidt finally got to complete his move to Werder Bremen. The defender had to remain at Elland Road for week after the German side had reached an agreement in principle. It was only when James Justin arrived that Daniel Farke gave the green light for Schmidt to leave.

Another player who also completed a move away was Largie Ramazani. The Belgian winger fell out of favour at some point last season, and barely saw any action in 2025. Ramazani was dropped from the team to face Arsenal, and later that week, was loaned to Valencia.

When negotiating the deal, Valencia boss Carlos Corberan wanted the deal to be completed soon to have the winger available for their game. In that match, Ramazani came off the bench to provide an assist in a 3-0 win.

This is what the 42-year old had to say about his latest signings:

“The important thing is commitment. It’s hard for me to highlight one, I would name them all. I saw everyone with the level that the game needed. I want to see the effort and the work.” he told AS.

Corberan also spoke on the rest of the players the club have signed this past week.

“My perception is not important. Valencia CF is going to have a more variable eleven because we are going to have two players of a level per position. I’m going to have a squad that I think will give me the possibility to choose.”

What Largie Ramazani has said about his debut

After having a huge impact in his first game in Spain, the Belgian winger was excited about his first game with the team. He posted on X:

”Happy to make my debut for this great club, but also thank you for the warm welcome!”

I seem to recall Farke saying how we needed a few more additions up front before the window closes – so we remain incomplete – We cannot hope to hobble along though the rest of the season as we are – Leeds have to chase the free transfers like Brownhill – the loss of profit is down to them
