West Ham star could force move to Leeds United – player has 12 months left on his contract

Leeds United are already on the hunt for potential signings as they prepare for their return to the Premier League next season. This summer will be drastically different from last year, as the club will welcome new faces instead of losing key players.

Daniel Farke did a magnificent job this season despite losing a huge core of his squad during the summer. Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter all joined Premier League sides for big money fees. Leeds still won automatic promotion in the end.

Now, the real business starts. Farke and the recruitment team now have to find areas of the squad they need to improve and add quality to in the summer window. The Leeds boss will hope he avoids the issue he had in January, when PSR stopped the club from making any major additions.

The Whites have been in the news in recent weeks as the club is reportedly in the market for a goalkeeper, and possibly, a striker.

It looks like Daniel Farke will strengthen the midfield too. According to Czech news outlet IDNES, Leeds are seriously considering signing Tomas Soucek. Farke is reportedly a big fan of the midfielder. The report is now claiming that Soucek could consider a move to Elland Road after losing his place under Graham Potter at West Ham.

The 30-year old told IDNES in February that he is not a fan of being a bench player:

“I know a few guys who are happy with the money coming into their account every month, they enjoy the life of a footballer and don’t care about the bench. I can’t do that. I need to play. I suffer on the bench.”

Soucek has 12 months left on his current deal, which could force West Ham to sell him. Everton boss David Moyes is also reportedly keen on a reunion with his former player.

Tomas Soucek is exactly the profile you need for the Premier League

Tomas Soucek is the ideal Premier League player. A midfielder with great fitness, athleticism and an eye for goal. This season he has managed to chip in seven goals in a poor season for West Ham.

He dominates both boxes, he can defend and attack the opponent box to score goals. Soucek is also a flexible player, so Daniel Farke can use him in a variety of roles.
