‘Whatever it takes’ – Leeds United star shoots warning at Sheffield United and Burnley

Leeds United have won just two out of their last five league games, which has led to question marks about their ability to get the job done in the automatic promotion race. However, the Leeds players are backing themselves to secure promotion in the eight remaining games, and the squad have sent a stern warning to their rivals.

Daniel Farke and his Leeds United players are preparing to take on Swansea City at Elland Road this Saturday. The Whites are under some pressure going into the game, and a win is needed.

Leeds are facing questions about their durability, and some are predicting the Whites could again fall apart in the final part of the season, like last year.

However, many are still backing Leeds to get the job done, and the Whites players seem more than confident in their ability to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League in the coming weeks.

We will get it done, whatever it takes – Leeds United star

The Leeds players are keen to bounce back as soon as possible and see the Swansea game this weekend as an opportunity to shut down the detractors.

Joel Piroe, who is the top goalscorer for Leeds this season and is chasing the Golden Boot, insisted that the whole squad are looking forward to the business end of the campaign.

The Leeds striker stressed that while the schedule is going to be taxing on everyone, the players are ready to knuckle down and get the job done in the coming weeks.

“They [Leeds squad] are very excited for it”, Piroe told BBC Radio Leeds.

“Of course, we all know the position we’re in; everyone has tough schedules, but everyone is looking forward to it.

“We want to get it done. Whatever it takes.”

The Leeds players have the confidence

Leeds cannot escape the parallels from last season unless they hit the ground running and put together a run of results in the next couple of weeks.

The onus is on Leeds to prove that this season is going to be different and they will get the job done by securing automatic promotion comfortably.

The pressure is on the Whites, but it seems the Leeds squad seem confident about their quality and are aware that they remain the team to catch at this stage of the season.

The Yorkshire giants now just need to walk the talk and get the points needed to ensure they are wearing the Premier League badge at the start of next season.
