Patrick Bamford has yet to find a new club since leaving Leeds United towards the end of the summer transfer window. The striker is keen to start a new chapter in his career, but his attempts to find a new home have yet to succeed.
Bamford was unhappy with the way his Leeds departure was handled. Daniel Farke made it clear that he was not part of his plans for the Premier League, and it was not until late in the transfer window that the club decided to terminate his contract, allowing him to leave as a free agent.
He has been linked with moves to Spain, the MLS and the Championship. However, we are well into the middle of October, and Bamford is still searching for a new club.
Championship clubs have their eyes on him, but no one has made a significant effort to sign him. It seems one of the linked suitors are almost certain not to sign him this season.
Portsmouth boss rules out Patrick Bamford move

Portsmouth are reportedly targeting free agents and have shown interest in signing Bamford on a free transfer.
However, Pompey boss John Mousinho has dismissed the rumours of the club wanting to sign the former Leeds United striker this season on a free transfer.
He stressed that he is happy with the squad and there is no need for the club to sign a free agent, as there is no emergency in the team at the moment.
The Portsmouth manager stressed that any moves for a free agent could only happen if there is an injury crisis in the squad.
“There’s nothing in that at all, I don’t know where that’s come from at all”, Mousinho was quoted as saying by The News.
“If we sign a free agent, it will be purely reactive; we are happy with where we are at the moment.
“If we were to pick up three or four injuries, then we would maybe look to react.”
Bamford won’t move to Spain
The former Leeds striker’s representatives were in advanced negotiations for him to join La Liga side Getafe on a free transfer last month.
The Spanish club were keen on him as they team needed a striker, and Bamford was ready to pack his bags and move to Spain to start a new chapter in his career.
However, the 32-year-old striker’s hopes were dashed as Getafe boss Jose Bordalas nuked the club’s decision to try and sign him on a free transfer.
The Getafe head coach blocked the move as he had no interest in signing the former Leeds forward.
