Leeds United have one eye on the summer transfer window, as the club prepares for their return to the Premier League. Luckily, their promotion was confirmed before the end of the season, giving them a bit more time.
This weekend, Daniel Farke’s men can seal this campaign with the Championship trophy. Leeds and Burnley have been in the title race for much of 2025. Both sides have been neck and neck over the past few months. Heading into this weekend, Leeds and Burnley are level on 97 points.
The Whites are away to Plymouth, while the Clarets host Millwall at Turf Moor. Leeds need a win to guarantee the trophy, but their superior goal difference means that they just have to match Burnley’s result to lift the title. Daniel Farke could be without up to three players for Saturday’s clash.

Back in January, Ben Jacobs reported that Leeds would try to sign Cameron Archer this summer. And the journalist has recently revealed on The Wolfpack podcast that the Whites are discussing a move for the 23-year old.
“It’s not a deal that Wolves are looking to do (Jamie Vardy). They’ll buy younger. One of the names I’ve heard out there for Leeds and Wolves – it’s more like an internal conversation than necessarily a player wolves are actively approaching or working on – but they like the profile of Cameron Archer at Southampton.”
Archer joined Southampton in the summer for a reported £15million fee. With the Saints having been relegated, he could be looking for a way out of the club.
Cameron Archer would provide competition for Joel Piroe
His numbers do not look encouraging this season, but Archer has potential. Over the last three seasons, he has scored 30 league goals across the Premier League and Championship.

For the £10million to 15million range, he could be a valuable addition beyond next season. And at 23 years old, he can only get better. He has massive potential and just needs some regular football to achieve his best form. Cameron Archer has also shown he can play across the attack, which could see him partner Joel Piroe in some games.
