Wolves manager Rob Edwards reacts to Leeds United’s ambitious Jorgen Strand Larsen bid – ‘They came in…’

Wolves Leeds United

Leeds United are looking to wrap up their business for this month as the end of the January window approaches. After having a quiet start to the winter, things have burst into life.

The club recruited Facundo Buonanotte and are now looking to add another center forward. Buonanotte will give the spark of creativity the team has lacked in some areas. Leeds United consider Wolves striker as their priority, already launching an enquiry over a possible move. The 49ers are doing everything possible to get fans on their side following what happened in the summer.

Latest on Leeds United move for Wolves striker

As of Friday, it is reported that the Whites had a bid around £30 million rejected for the 25-year old. But it was stated that the clubs are not too far apart in their valuations of the player. Wolves boss Rob Edwards has been speaking on the current situation involving his striker: “Yeah.
“That came in earlier this week. He’s been great, trained really well and will be part of the squad tomorrow.

“We’re under no pressure to sell. We want to try and be as strong as we can throughout the period. Unless we feel it’s the right thing, no one will go.

“No-one’s been knocking on my door [to leave], no-one, they’ve all show real desire and attitude to be here.”

Strand Larsen has been linked with an exit from the Molineux since the summer. His goalscoring exploits caught the eye of Newcastle United in the summer, but nothing materialized. The striker has not hit the same heights as last season, but Leeds should hope the Wolves man can deliver if a deal is completed.

49ers need to wrap up deal

Leeds United have taken the huge step to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves, now they need to get the deals across the line. Buonanotte is a wonderful addition who can play various positions in midfield and the attack.

Strand Larsen leaving Wolves weakens a relegation rival at this point of the season too. Adding the 25-year to this new-look Leeds side will be very fun to watch. The club will now have another source of goals outside Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Hopefully these moves will be instrumental as the Elland Road faithful want to see the club continue their stay in the top flight.
