Young Leeds star joins Nottingham Forest on permanent deal

This summer, one of Leeds’ aims is to improve their Under 23s as the Whites look to the future as well as the present.

Victor Orta has set his sights on a number of high-profile youngsters. He secured the services of Amari Miller from Birmingham and looks set to capture Wigan starlet Sean McGurk in the coming weeks.

But it seems some of Leeds’ current crop of youngsters will have to make way for the incoming talent.

That’s perhaps the case with Billy Fewster. The 17-year-old had been allowed to leave Elland Road to join Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis. The midfielder is one of many players looking to revitalise the struggling club at all levels.

Fewster seems excited by the move and told the Forest website: “I’m really pleased to be here and it’s a move that I’m really excited to make. Forest has a great history and reputation for developing young player and I can’t wait to get started.

“As soon as I met the coaches, I knew this was a club where I could develop as a player and push myself on.”
