“an absolute nightmare” – Tim Sherwood slam player’s error vs Everton

Published on

Tim Sherwood was disappointed with how Leeds conceded to Everton today, and was not shy with his comments.

The Whites failed to pick up a win at Goodison Park this afternoon, losing to the only goal of the game from Seamus Coleman. The Everton fullback scored from an impossible angle with a lot of people questioning the goalkeeping from Illan Meslier.

Sherwood said on Sky Sports that the goal was a ‘nightmare’:

“Meslier, the goalkeeper, has an absolute nightmare. He tried to anticipate.

“I don’t know why he tried to anticipate it, there’s no one in the box anyway. It just flies into the far corner.”

Much has been said about the goal after the game, with many pointing out that the French goalie did not anticipate properly. Today’s result sees Leeds remain in the relegation zone one point above Southampton, who they face next.
