Leeds United are currently 15th in the Premier League, four points clear of the relegation zone as they look to secure their place in the top flight.

They are not out of danger yet, though, and there is a real feeling they could still be dragged into the fight over the final seven games.

Even with that uncertainty, the club have already begun planning for the summer, optimistic they will still be preparing for another Premier League campaign.

Archie Gray has been tipped to return to Leeds, and it has been claimed that even Summerville could go back to Elland Road in the upcoming transfer window.

Leeds United signing Crysencio Summerville has not been ruled out

There are question marks around Summerville’s fitness ahead of West Ham’s FA Cup quarter-final clash against Leeds at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Leeds sold him to the Hammers in 2024 after they lost the playoff final, and the winger has been a key player as West Ham look to secure Premier League safety.

However, according to TEAMTalk, he could leave West Ham in the summer, even if they manage to stay in the Premier League at the end of the season.

Several Premier League clubs, such as Tottenham, Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Brentford, and Everton, are interested in getting their hands on him.

Leeds have also been mooted as a potential destination, and a return to Elland Road has not been ruled out in the next window.

Summerville wants to continue to play in the Premier League, and if Leeds stay up, he could return to the club in the summer.

West Ham paid £25m for the Dutchman in 2024 and are likely to demand a big fee if Summerville leaves the club ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Do Leeds need the former White?

Summerville’s form has powered West Ham’s attempt to get out of the relegation zone. His five Premier League goals have come since the turn of the year.

His performances have turned heads, and while a return to Leeds is intriguing, it is unclear whether the Whites need him.

Leeds need more attacking flair in their squad if they survive in the Premier League. However, Daniel Farke’s 5-3-2 system means there is no natural spot for a winger.

Stat Value
Games Played 27
Goals 7
Assists 4
Minutes Played 2,100

The Whites are already struggling to give regular minutes to players such as Daniel James and Wilfried Gnonto, and Summerville would only add to the problems.

If Leeds are prepared to spend big on an attacker, they are more likely to sign a more proven striker who could be an upgrade to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
