Leeds United take on Crystal Palace this weekend in a crucial game with a lot of high stakes. After the last round of Premier League fixtures, things are not looking great for the Whites.
Daniel Farke’s men failed to pick up a point against Manchester City and Sunderland. In that same period, both West Ham and Nottingham Forest managed to close the gap in points. Things are getting intense near the bottom of the table with nine games to go till the end of the season. Leeds still sit in 15th place, but are still in danger.
Crystal Palace boss makes absurd claim ahead of Leeds United game
Ahead of Sunday’s clash, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has spoken about what he and his team have learned from their last game against Leeds. The Whites beat the Eagles 4-1 at Elland Road.
”We know how they’re going to play, but of course it’s watching them, analysing, showing the players, giving them a plan of what we want to do.
”On the other side, we don’t change our plan completely because it’s how we are successful and how we did really well in the last games.”
Glasner then said this time it would be different, because his team did not get enough rest when the played in the reverse fixture at the end of last year.
”And I think it’s different because we played them away 48 hours after the KuPS Kuopio game.”
”Now, it’s a normal rhythm, so we also had a full week to prepare, and then it was there it was right before Christmas, 10 weeks in a row, playing every third day, so at that time we were really exhausted with many players not available.
”Now I see it completely different. But, again, every single Premier League game is very competitive and it’s a huge challenge.”

Oliver Glasner’s men were outplayed at Elland Road
Glasner is making excuses when he claims his team were fatigued when they lost at Elland Road. They were just outplayed and outclassed by Daniel Farke’s men – this was in the run of games after the tactical switch. During that stretch of games, the Whites beat Chelsea and held Liverpool and Brentford. All those teams could not figure out the team’s new style, Glasner included.
