Leeds United’s Premier League future will be decided in the coming months. There are eight league games left for Daniel Farke and his men to save their season.

The Whites had a huge chance to get three points at Elland Road this past weekend, but failed to capitalize on their home form. Leeds had a big opportunity in the game, as Brentford sat back and defended for most of the game. Keith Andrews was honest about his game plan, and Farke’s men could not find a way past them.

Leeds United currently sit in 15th place, and are just three points above the relegation zone. As things stand, one of Leeds, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Spurs will go down alongside Wolves and Burnley.

Former Premier League club chief raises Daniel Farke sack talk

The 49ers have plans for this summer, including potential transfers. However, that will be based on what happens at the end of the season; most of these decisions will be taken depending on where the club find themselves. Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown has said that the Whites could consider Daniel Farke’s place at the club in the coming months.

“If Leeds go down, I expect Farke will be sacked,” Brown told Football Insider.

“Right from before the season even started, there was noise coming out of Leeds that they were considering his future because of his previous record.

“That was never fair on him, but it was part of Leeds’ plans before they decided to stick with him. The situation he’s in at the moment is: if Leeds stay up he will get plenty of praise for what they’ve done this season, and if they go down it’ll be all his fault.”

The former scout then concluded that he thinks Farke will be gone if the club goes down.

“When the fans start to get frustrated and are asking questions, it’s never a good sign, but it’s something they’ll look at when the season is over.

“If they stay up, I expect they’ll keep him on, and if they go down, they’ll look elsewhere.”

Leeds United have many decisions to make this summer

Daniel Farke’s future will be key for whatever plans the team has going forward. Leeds need to decide if the German is the man to take the team forward. The club could end up in the Championship, or find themselves in the Premier League. Also the transfers and decisions based on the squad will be crucial – do the 49ers sign players to bring the team back up to the top flight, or improve the options to help the club make themselves successful in the top flight. The future of the club will be pivotal when it comes to the decisions to be made in the coming months.
