Leeds United currently sit 15th in the Premier League, four points clear of the relegation zone as they push to secure their place in the top flight.
They’re not out of danger just yet, though, and there’s a real feeling they could still be dragged into the fight over the final seven games.
Even with that uncertainty, the club have already begun planning for the summer window, optimistic they’ll be gearing up for another Premier League campaign.
Strengthening the attack looks like a priority, with goals hard to come by this season, and Leeds are already monitoring several forwards, with AZ Alkmaar’s Troy Parrott continuing to get linked with a move to Elland Road.
Former scout is certain Leeds United have their eyes on Troy Parrott
Parrott was heavily linked with a move to Leeds in the winter transfer window. However, the Whites kept their powder dry for the summer.
Former Premier League scout Mick Brown lavished praise on the Ireland striker to take the risk of leaving Tottenham and proving himself in the Netherlands.
He revealed Leeds have been keeping close tabs on the AZ Alkmaar striker, and if they survive in the Premier League, he expects the Whites to make a strong move for Parrott in the summer.
“Troy Parrott deserves a lot of praise for what he’s done with his career”, Brown told Football Insider.
“It was a brave move to leave Tottenham and the Premier League, to go to Europe and focus on developing his game and becoming a better player.
“Now he’s proving himself as a top player not just for his club but on the international stage as well, and that always attracts interest from Premier League clubs.
“Every club in the Premier League will have scouts over in the Netherlands keeping an eye on the talent there, and he’s certainly going to be on their radar.
“Leeds, for example, are in desperate need of a striker and have been keeping tabs on him.
“They want somebody to compete with Calvert-Lewin or to play alongside him.
“If there’s any indication that Parrott could be available this summer, I’d expect them to be all over it, because it looks like he’s ready for a move to the Premier League.”
Can Leeds afford him?
Parrott has scored 28 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions this season and is expected to return to the Premier League at some point.
AZ Alkmaar are aware that the striker will be in demand next summer, and they are likely to ask for somewhere around £30m in the upcoming transfer window.
| Competition | Matches | Goals | Assists | Minutes |

| Conference League | 9 | 3 | 1 | 701 |
| UECL Qualifiers | 5 | 7 | 1 | 309 |

It is unclear whether Leeds are prepared to pay the big money on a single player this summer, unlike last year, when they spread out their spending on 10 new signings.
The Whites were reluctant to spend big money on any one player. However, this strategy could change if they are in the Premier League next season.
Leeds are aware that they need to start spending the big bucks if they want to bring in proper upgrades for certain players this summer.
