Leeds United are just three points above the relegation zone and will be under real pressure to get a result when they travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Successive home defeats to Manchester City and Sunderland have chipped away at what once looked like a healthy cushion, dragging Leeds right back into the relegation battle.
With West Ham building momentum and Nottingham Forest beginning to show signs of life, Leeds know they must produce a positive result this weekend to avoid slipping into the bottom three.
However, the turmoil at Tottenham is emerging as the story of the season, and Wayne Rooney has already warned one candidate who has been linked with replacing Igor Tudor at Spurs.
“Don’t leave a job for Spurs” – Wayne Rooney warns Robbie Keane
The former Leeds United striker is in charge of Hungarian giants Ferencvaros and has been heavily linked with the Tottenham job.
Spurs are seriously considering sacking Igor Tudor, who they appointed as interim manager until the end of the season just last month.
Keane has emerged as a top target for Spurs. However, Wayne Rooney insisted that the former striker must avoid taking up the Tottenham job at the moment.
He feels no one should leave a settled job for Spurs, given the turmoil at the north London club and their potential relegation from the Premier League.
Rooney said on The Overlap: “If I were Robbie Keane now, I wouldn’t go in.
“If I were Robbie Keane, I wouldn’t leave a job to go into Tottenham now, if you’re [Tim] Sherwood or whoever, who’s out of a job, I’d go in.
“But if I were Robbie Keane, there’s no way I’d leave a job to go and take Tottenham.”
Tottenham are on a free fall
Daniel Farke’s side have suffered back-to-back league defeats for the first time since November and now sit just three points above the relegation zone.
Another poor result at Crystal Palace on Sunday would be a significant blow, but Leeds still do not look like a team destined for the drop this season.

Tottenham, however, are beginning to resemble exactly the kind of club that gets dragged into serious relegation trouble.
Managerial instability, disappointing results, dreadful performances, fans turning against the club and costly mistakes on the pitch have all combined to create a worrying picture at Spurs.
The north London side appear to be heading in the wrong direction, with errors both on and off the pitch increasingly pointing towards serious danger for Tottenham.
