Largie Ramazani’s exit from Leeds United in the summer transfer window came as a bit of a surprise. There were suitors for him, as reported by many outlets, but there was no sign that the Whites would let him go.
He was fully involved in pre-season, where almost every player in camp was expected to be part of the plans that season. Then after the club’s first Premier League game, things changed. The winger was left out of the matchday squad for the next game, only for Daniel Farke to confirm after the game that Ramazani was in talks with another club.
The Belgian ended up on loan with Valencia in Spain, where Leeds United also sent Mateo Joseph – who joined Mallorca. Ramazani did not have the best of debut seasons, but showed promise towards the end of the campaign, which surprised many as to why the club made the abrupt decision to loan him out.
Largie Ramazani answers question on potential Leeds United future
The winger had a bright start to life in La Liga; providing an assist on his debut. Yet the months after that were not great; he was out due to injury, and lost his place in the pecking order. It has only been in recent weeks that he has played well enough to earn his place back in the lineup and is producing the goods.
| Competition | Games | Goals + Assists |
|---|---|---|
| La Liga | 16 | 5 |
| Copa del Rey | 4 | 1 |
| TOTAL | 20 | 6 |
Largie Ramazani was at an event hosted by Valencia sponsor, Škoda, on Wednesday and he was asked about his future in Spain. Leeds are yet to make a decision on the player ahead of the summer. The winger refused to confirm or deny if he wants to remain in Spain past this season.
“I’m here to work, to keep going, and we’ll see what happens in the future. I’m going to keep working hard until the end of the season.”

What do Leeds do with Ramazani?
The Whites only have two options when it comes to the winger; sell him or keep him. Largie Ramazani is a talented player and has shown flashes that he can be an important contributor to the first team. His recent run of form at Valencia alone proves he can replicate this at the top level, so if Leeds do keep him, they know they can get some performances out of him. There is also the option to sell him; he will not be short of suitors especially after this loan spell where he has proven his quality. Ultimately, whatever the club decides will be down to the 49ers plans.
