‘Leeds are…’ – West Ham star makes brutally honest Leeds United admission ahead of FA Cup clash

Jarrod Bowen against Brentford in the FA Cup

Leeds United have reached the FA Cup quarter-finals for the first time in over two decades, but staying in the Premier League will still be their main objective this season.

Daniel Farke has already made it clear that lifting the FA Cup is not a realistic target for his side right now, stressing that securing their top-flight status remains the priority.

With Leeds sitting just three points above the relegation zone and West Ham showing signs of improvement, the Whites know they need to start collecting points soon to avoid being pulled deeper into the bottom-three battle in the weeks ahead.

However, West Ham will also host Leeds in the FA Cup quarter-finals next month, and Jarrod Bowen has sent a stern message to the Yorkshire giants.

West Ham star Jarrod Bowen sends a message to Leeds

Leeds and West Ham are in the fight for Premier League survival, but one of them will also get a chance to play at Wembley in the FA Cup semi-finals.

The two sides will clash at the London Stadium next month for a spot in the last four of the FA Cup, and Bowen admitted that Leeds are a very good side.

However, he pointed out that they did beat a Premier League side in Brentford in the fifth round of the FA Cup and showed how good they can be at home.

Bowen was quoted as saying by the London World: “Leeds are a really good side and will want to do well in the FA Cup as well, but we saw what we did at home today against a Premier League side, so that is whenever it is.

“We have two really big games before the international break that we want to go and get maximum points from.”

Crysencio Summerville’s injury is a problem for the Hammers

Leeds United and West Ham both now have a genuine chance of reaching Wembley for the FA Cup semi-finals this season, but their main focus remains on securing Premier League survival.

The Whites have lost their last two league matches, while West Ham’s recent improvement in form has given them renewed hope of climbing out of the bottom three before the end of the campaign.

FA Cup 3 2 1 232

However, Crysencio Summerville’s injury comes as a major setback for West Ham, especially given how influential he has been in their recent upturn.

The winger has scored five league goals since the start of the year, and West Ham will be desperate to have him fit if they are to give themselves the best chance of finishing outside the relegation zone this season.

If he is out for any considerable length of time, it could derail West Ham’s bid to survive in the Premier League this season.
