Leeds United confirm Daniel Farke appointment

Leeds United confirm the appointment of Daniel Farke as new Head Coach on a four year contract.

Farke won the race and was appointed ahead of potential candidates Patrick Vieira, Scott Parker and Carlos Corberan. The former Norwich man will be tasked with getting Leeds back into the Premier League next season.

The German led Norwich to two promotion campaigns to the Premier League in 2018-2019 and 2020-21. Since leaving the Canaries, he has been at Russian side Krasnodar and Bundesliga club Borussia Monchengladbach.

Leeds were without a head coach since Sam Allardyce’s departure in May. The delay in appointing Farke was down to paperwork surrounding the club’s recent takeover yet to be confirmed by the English Football League (EFL).
