In a season where Leeds United let first team attackers go, they have a lot of decisions to make in the coming months. Daniel Farke made the call for a handful of players to leave Elland Road before the season began.

Patrick Bamford, Joe Gelhardt, Mateo Joseph and Largie Ramazani did not make the final squad for the beginning of the Premier League season. Bamford terminated his contract and eventually ended up at Sheffield United, where he is having a good season. Gelhardt has continued his great form with Hull City, continuing from where he left off last year.

The Whites will have to make big calls on Joseph and Ramazani in the summer, considering how their loan clubs feel about a permanent move.

Leeds United star set for summer exit

Valencia would like to keep the Belgian winger, but will most likely be priced out of a deal. Mateo Joseph continues to feature for Mallorca this season, despite not being productive. According to Football Insider, Mateo Joseph could leave Elland Road in the summer window. His current loan deal does not have a buy option, but Mallorca are keen on bringing him back.

The 22-year old is said to be very interested in moving to Spain, where he has had a lot of interest over the last year. Real Betis reportedly offered big money for him last January, but the Whites rejected a move. The report also adds that Leeds United do not see Joseph as part of their long-term future, as he does not seem to be in Daniel Farke’s plans.

Mateo Joseph saga has taken a wrong turn

It has been a very interesting turn of events over the last year; Mateo Joseph was a highly rated prospect who broke into the first team. Even though Daniel Farke cut short his appearances; the Spaniard showed his ability in the first half of last season. Joseph played so well and showed potential that clubs were ready to pay around £10 million for him.

But now, Leeds will be lucky to even get half of that this year. His spell on loan has not been anything to write home about, and any deal will depend on how well Mallorca think they can develop him. From having a bright talent with a future, to selling him for cheap would be a very sad ending for the young forward.
