Leeds United sit 15th in the Premier League, four points clear of the relegation zone. Their recent run of form has sparked a fear of relegation.
With seven league games left in the season, Leeds are set to face a huge challenge as they look to stay up in the Premier League by the end of the campaign.
They will be in FA Cup action on Sunday against West Ham, but both teams will be focused on securing Premier League safety, and the Whites have learned about a major decision ahead of the run-in.
Leeds’ game against Burnley at the start of next month was moved to Friday night, and another one of their relegation six-pointers has been picked up for broadcast.
Tottenham-Leeds relegation six-pointer has been moved
The north London club are just a point clear of the relegation zone and recently appointed Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager.
Spurs are hopeful that the Italian will be able to inspire a group of players who have not won a Premier League game in 2026 and avoid relegation this season.
Leeds are set to travel to London to take on Tottenham in May, but that game has been picked up for television, due to it being a relegation six-pointer.
Originally scheduled for a Saturday 3 pm slot on May 9, the match will now take place on Monday, May 11, with an 8 pm kick-off.
The Whites will take on Tottenham away from home under the lights before the final two Premier League games of the season.
This will be a huge game for both sides, as a win for either side could guarantee them another season in the Premier League.
Tottenham beat Leeds at Elland Road earlier in the season. The Whites will now look to return the favour next month.
The Whites need to take charge of their own destiny
Leeds have somehow managed to keep a bit of distance from the relegation zone, even though they have not won any of their last six Premier League games.
Wolves and Burnley look almost certain to go down, while West Ham, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest have not quite done enough to pull Leeds right into the danger zone.
That could change, though. West Ham are starting to find some form, and Spurs hope that De Zerbi’s arrival will trigger an upturn in results.

If that happens, the pressure will quickly swing back onto Leeds. They need to pick up a couple of wins soon to move closer to safety.
They cannot keep relying on other teams dropping points. At some stage, Leeds have to take control of their own situation before it is too late.
