Leeds United have another massive game at Elland Road on the horizon, with the Whites desperately needing to pick up points against Brentford to aid in their battle to avoid the drop.

Leeds fans will be hoping Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets back on the scoresheet over the weekend, with the striker’s recent form in front of goal being criticised by Graham Smyth.

Brenden Aaronson is another player that those inside Elland Road will be keeping a close eye on, with the American’s influence in the final third waning in recent months.

Opta’s supercomputer has had its say on the upcoming clash between Leeds and Brentford, which could ultimately prove to be pivotal in United’s battle to stay in the top flight.

Supercomputer predicts Brentford to beat Leeds at Elland Road

With the relegation battle heating up, Daniel Farke will know that his side must maximise the four remaining home games they have this season.

Out of Leeds’ 32 total points they have accumulated up to this point, 22 of them have come at home.

This is why United fans will be concerned to learn that Opta’s supercomputer favours Brentford ahead of their trip to West Yorkshire.

  • Brentford have been given a 39.6% chance of winning the game on Saturday
  • Leeds’ chances of winning sit at 34.5%
  • The chance of the game ending level is said to be 25.9%

Whilst another draw would not be the end of the world for Leeds, for a side that relies so much on picking points up at home, they simply cannot afford to lose against Brentford.

More concerning data emerges ahead of Leeds vs Brentford

Going into the game at the weekend, more concerning data has emerged regarding Farke’s side.

In the Premier League, Leeds have not scored in their last three matches, with the Whites’ most recent goal being Anton Stach’s wonderful free-kick against Aston Villa at the end of February.

To go back to the last time Leeds scored a goal in the league from open play, then you would have to go back to Leeds’ trip to Stamford Bridge in the game that finished 2-2.

Leeds had a similar problem finding the back of the net at the start of the season; this trait is beginning to rear its ugly head again at the worst time possible for Leeds during the run-in.

Given how well Brentford are doing this season, with the West London outfit sitting in 7th, most of Leeds’ relegation rivals will be expecting them to lose. If the Whites could pick up a much-needed win, then this would be a massive step towards safety and prove that Leeds are not running out of gas towards the end of the season.
