“He is above Leeds’ level” – Gabby Agbonlahor urges Leeds star to force a move

Talksport pundit Gabby Agbonlahor says Jack Harrison should leave Leeds United as soon as possible.

According to Agbonlahor, the midfielder is ‘above Leeds’ level’ and thus should not waste more time at the club. Harrison is expected to put pen to paper on a new deal at Elland Road, but Agbonlahor says he should leave. The 26-year old’s contract is up in final 18 months of his deal and could leave the club this January if a new deal cannot be agreed with Leeds.

The midfielder is in demand, with Everton and Newcastle United showing interest. Reports claim that the Magpies made at least two bids for Harrison in the summer. Agbonlahor believes this is the midfielder’s cue to leave the club:

“First of all, I don’t think he’ll want to sign a new deal because I don’t think Leeds will pay him what he wants.”

“However, he doesn’t believe Newcastle are the right destination for him now, given their lofty ambitions,” he added: But then I look at Newcastle and can they be looking at better players than him? I do like him but with where Newcastle want to go, I don’t think they should be looking at Harrison anymore.”

The pundit believes Harrison would earn more money playing for a better club that Leeds United too:

“I think he’s better than Leeds but I just feel Newcastle are onto bigger things.

“Is Everton the right sort of move for Harrison? That sort of level where you get an extra £20,000-a-week or £30,000-a-week.”

Jack Harrison is currently in talks with Victor Orta and Leeds United as the club figure out an agreement over his long term future at Elland Road.
