BREAKING: Kalvin Phillips reportedly lays out new contract demand

News broke earlier this morning that Manchester United had turned their attention towards Leeds star Kalvin Phillips, following a failed pursuit of Declan Rice.

But according to 90min football, Phillips wants to sign a new deal at Leeds. However, he would only be open to signing the contract if he was offered similar wages to Raphinha and Patrick Bamford, with the latter recently signing a new deal at the club.

Phillips would easily deserve such a wage, which is reportedly in the region of £70,000 a week. This wouldn’t actually make him the highest earner at the club, as record signing Rodrigo is allegedly on around £100,000 a week.

Phillips is now an England international, who recently won the England player of the year and is one of the best in his position across the league. He would definitely deserve a wage increase if Leeds were to offer a new contract, which they definitely should considering the interest in him.
