What seemed to be a dull transfer window at Leeds United has suddenly burst into life. The club have embarked on their trip to the US as they prepare for the upcoming season.
A lot of developments have emerged over the last 48 hours.
Max Wober officially left the club, after agreeing to terminate his contract. The defender had already agreed a deal to join Schalke, and needed Leeds to agree to end his contract to make the move.
The Shea Charles situation has also been addressed; with the club having had their third bid rejected.
Leeds will not be increasing their last offer, and are adamant that they are ready to walk away. Reports suggested that the Whites were pushing to complete the deal before their US trip.
Leeds United close in on star midfielder
While Charles is still not a Leeds player yet, the club are closing in on another target.
Ben Jacobs reported early on Thursday that Leeds United have now made an offer to Julian Brandt. The player’s father visited Elland Road last week to open discussions over a move.
Leeds United have held talks with James Trafford, who Newcastle have also looked at this window. Trafford one of Leeds’ leading targets.

Alex Crook later added that Brandt himself was part of the trip to West Yorkshire.
The German is a free agent after leaving Borussia Dortmund after seven years with the Bundesliga giants. He made 41 appearances last season including nine in the Champions League.
The 30-year old managed 11 goals and four assists in that time.
Daniel Farke will have another attacking player to integrate in this team after their struggles last season. Brandt will join Harry Wilson as the latest additions to the Premier League side.

49ers need to seal other deals quickly
Leeds will be in the US in the coming hours as they begin their pre-season training camp.
These players will be the ones Daniel Farke has planned with for the upcoming seasons. The Whites left out the likes of Jack Harrison, Max Wober, Largie Ramazani and Joe Gelhardt.
And with just weeks before the new season, a lot of work will be done in a short space of time.
This is why the 49ers need to push forward and complete the deals they can in time. Coaches like their new signings to gel and adapt with the team and that takes place in pre-season.
Farke will also like to evaluate where these new players fit in his tactics and scheme.
