Despite the defeat to Chelsea in the League Cup, Leeds United have had a solid start to the new season. However, some issues have emerged in the first few games of the campaign.
The Whites have managed some impressive results against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Brentford.
In the first four games of the season, Leeds conceded just two goals. The performances of James Trafford and the backline managed to keep out sides that scored a lot of goals early in the campaign.
The Chelsea result has brought the team back to Earth a bit.
Fans are still furious at how Leeds lost a two-goal lead and conceded six goals in one half of football.
Former Leeds United star suggests solution to team problem

Three games into the new Premier League season, and Leeds United have managed just three goals.
And out of those three goals, one came from a set piece – Anton Stach’s late free kick against Nottingham Forest. Outside that goal, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the only attacking player to have scored for Daniel Farke’s side in the league.
The attack seems to be a problem going forward.
Former Leeds man Jermaine Pennant thinks that Leeds need to create more for Calvert-Lewin if they want goals.
“He feeds on support. He feeds on balls into the box, supply. You do that, he’ll put himself there and he’ll probably, nine times out of ten, be there and win it.” Pennant told GOAL.
“He’s looked good in pre-season, he’s looked good at the start of the season. But he’s not a striker that’s going to get the ball on the halfway line, take three players on, create his own stuff and score one in the top corner.
“You need to feed him. It’s like Erling Haaland. If you don’t supply him, he’s not really going to score you goals. So as soon as they get that sorted and get that supply and whip balls in, that’s a dream for Calvert-Lewin.”

Leeds attack needs to start firing soon
Being conservative and having a structured team is a very good way for any team to get results.
Daniel Farke has a well-drilled unit at Elland Road, and this style helped the club avoid relegation last year. But it seems like the same problem they faced last season has appeared once again.
Leeds need to start converting their chances if they want to win games.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is their only attacking player to have scored in the Premier League this season. And Pennant is right; the club should find ways to creat chances for him if they want more goals.
