Insider reveals Leeds United man had to be ‘restrained’ from Man City player

One Leeds player in particular was angry at full-time.

Leeds United fell to a narrow defeat at Elland Road, with Manchester City beating the Whites by a goal to nil.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a couple of golden opportunities to give United the lead in the first half that the Englishman was unable to take, and this ultimately came back to bite Leeds later on when Antoine Semenyo broke the deadlock on the verge of half-time.

There was plenty of controversy during the game, with Leeds feeling they should have had a penalty for a handball after the ball struck Matheus Nunes’ arm inside the penalty area, but play was waved on.

Daniel Farke vented his frustrations with the referee at full-time and was ultimately sent off; however, tempers also flared for one Leeds player in particular after the full-time whistle, with the player having to be “restrained.”

Jayden Bogle ‘restrained’ at full-time following Bernardo Silva confrontation

Following the dramatic affair between the two teams, Silva was seemingly goading the home supporters, with Bogle taking an issue with the Portuguese international’s antics.

Graham Smyth noted the confrontation between the two players at full-time, with the journalist taking to X to post.

“Bogle seeing off Bernardo Silva and having to be restrained.”

Thankfully for Leeds, Bogle did not receive a red card for the confrontation he had, unlike his manager, with Farke now set to serve a touchline suspension for the Whites’ upcoming clash with Sunderland.

Data suggests Jayden Bogle was solid against Manchester City

By this stage in the season, the 25-year-old, like so many of his teammates, has proven that he is more than capable of producing quality performances in the Premier League.

  • Bogle produced one key pass during the game against Manchester City, which had an expected assists rating of 0.37
  • As well as being a threat going forward, Bogle was solid defensively, recording five defensive contributions
  • The defender made two interceptions and three recoveries within the game, as well as notching a pair of clearances (Sofascore)

Whilst the passion Bogle showcased at full-time will only endear him to the Elland Road crowd even further, supporters will have been breathing a sigh of relief as they made their way home that their wing-back did not receive a silly red card in the aftermath of a game that had already been lost.
