Leeds United were not at their best today in the 1-1 draw against Brentford, but managed to dig in deep to rescue a point at Elland Road.
The away side completely outplayed Leed in the first half and were more than deserving to get into the break 1-0 up, via a Kevin Schade goal in the 41st minute.
However, Leeds showed more of their resilience and quality, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored in the 79th minute to ensure Leeds avoided a home defeat this early in the season.
The Yorkshire giants have another tough away trip to Brighton, but Leeds fans are praising Daniel Farke for what he did against Brentford to get that point at home.

Farke was under some pressure after his team failed to turn up at home in the first half. But he and his players responded after the break and rescued a point.
The Leeds boss made some important changes and didn’t allow the game to drift. All the substitutes contributed to the Whites scoring the late equaliser.
Dan James made an impact with his pace and threat in the final third, and Lukas Nemcha provided the driven cross that Calvert-Lewin turned into the back of the net.
Farke is earning praise for making those decisive changes and not waiting until too late to rejig a team that looked ordinary in the first half.

A Leeds fan urged the 49ers to sign one or two attackers and help Farke after the performance: “Respect to Daniel Farke for that 2nd half. Now give him an attacker or two before the window closes!”

The Whites would have preferred to win their first home game of the season, but they would take that point after the performance.
Leeds showed grit and determination in the second half against a Brentford side that completely outplayed them in the first half and could have scored more.
Four points from their first two games is more than a good star and Leeds needed that point as they have a tough away trip against Brighton lined up next.
