Leeds United definitely got value from their summer signings in the transfer market. Their recruitment is a big part of the reason the club are not at the bottom of the table at this point of the season.

Daniel Farke got a new keeper, added some solid pieces in the backline and got some steel in the middle of the park. Most of the signings have worked out so far; Jaka Bijol and Gabriel Gudmundsson have been huge hits while Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff have been solid additions.

Where the team has lacked even with their signings performing well is in attack. The Whites brought in Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor in attack this past summer. The two strikers have contributed 16 goals this season and are the top scorers in the team, while Okafor has showed some flashes. But it looks like the team still need some spark in attacking areas.

Leeds United linked to £20m rated winger

Leeds’ attack have been in shocking form since the start of the year, and the 49ers are already planning ahead. A new striker could arrive in the coming season, regardless of where the team finish. And according to Football Insider, Leicester City star Fatawu Issahaku could be a transfer target in the coming months. The Foxes are four points from safety with four games to go.

If they do go down, there is a long list of players in their squad that will be sold to keep them afloat financially. Fatawu Issahaku is one of them; the Ghanaian international has 16 goal contributions for a horrible Leicester team. The winger is expected to have suitors this summer, with a price tag of £20 million being reported.

Wide players have been very ineffective this season

Fatawu Issahaku is the exact kind of player Leeds need in their team going forward. Noah Okafor is the only attacker who has provided some threat from wide areas this season. Dan James has been injured for most of the campaign and looks a shadow of himself, while Wilfried Gnonto seems to have lost Farke’s trust. A fresh face like the 22-year old could make a huge impact in the team if they do manage to bring him to Elland Road.
