After Friday night’s result, Leeds United are now on high alert near the bottom of the table. The Whites are the last of the relegation-threatened teams to play this weekend.

Leeds will face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night. The game carries stakes for both teams, the Red Devils are aiming to secure their place in Europe, while the Whites want survival. Michael Carrick’s men are in great form, and ahead of the game on Monday, the former England man has urged fans to create an atmosphere at Old Trafford.

”Yeah, hopefully it cranks it up, you know, and the stadium is alive. I ‘m sure it will be. It has been. It’s been unbelievable playing at home and the boys have responded and thrived off it, really. ” Carrick said in Saturday’s press conference.

Former Leeds United man confident of a result at Old Trafford

The last time both sides met ended in a draw at Elland Road, with Leeds United scoring the first goal. The Whites were in excellent form around that time, but recently they have only gotten two points from their last four games. Things look grim with their upcoming fixture list, but Stuart Dallas believes his former side can leave Old Trafford with a result on Monday night.

“They are in a really strong position. They are more than capable, they have shown they can compete at the highest level.” Dallas said on BBC Radio Leeds.

“The hardest thing is to do it consistently but this team have more than enough to stay up. They can’t look at what is happening around them and focus all their energy into what is ahead of them.

“They will be OK. I’m confident they can go to Man Utd on Monday and get a result.”

The last time Leeds United won at Old Trafford was in the FA Cup back in 2010.

Daniel Farke has pulled off the impossible this season

Leeds are unbeaten in their last four away games in the Premier League and they have also not won in those four games. Which means the Whites are very stubborn to beat, and know how to get results when needed. Their last two visits to Villa Park and Stamford Bridge saw them hold firm and take precious points. In recent away games, Daniel Farke seems to have found the balance between being too defensive and pragmatic. Stuart Dallas is right, Leeds can pull off something on Monday night if they get their game plan right.
