Leeds United loanee Diego Llorente has suffered a thigh injury after AS Roma’s Europa League tie with Real Sociedad.
Llorente was making his first full start for the Giallorossi against his former club. Unfortunately the spaniard only lasted 45 minutes on Thursday night. Llorente had to be substituted off at half-time despite an impressive performance after suffering the thigh muscle injury.
The defender will undergo more tests in the coming days in order to determine the extent of the injury.
After the match, Llorente thanked the AS Roma supporters:
“I’m happy for the win and for my first minutes as a starter in a very special match,” he wrote on Twitter.
“It’s a shame I had to leave at half-time. Thanks to the fans for their support. The atmosphere was amazing! Daje Roma!”
