Leeds United have frequently been criticized about their transfer dealings over the last few seasons. However, the club seems to be on the right track over the last couple of years.

They built a squad good enough to win promotion to the Premier League.

And their transfer business last summer was enough to build on that to help the team avoid relegation. The club finished in 14th place in the Premier League, securing another season in the top flight.

This summer will be crucial to how Leeds perform in the upcoming campaign.

Clubs that finished below them have been strengthening; Spurs have already spent over £100 million, and Nottingham Forest have hired former Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner.

Details emerge ahead of Leeds United star’s exit

When it comes to selling players, Leeds United have been poor in the last few seasons.

Fans were furious when the club let Max Wober go for free in this summer window. The Austrian was signed for big money in the Premier League and has been let go after three years.

Lucas Perri arrived for around £15 million last summer, as the club hoped to solve their goalkeeping woes.

The Brazilian did not have the greatest of campaigns, and spent the second half of the season on the bench with Daniel Farke preferring Karl Darlow. Leeds United have made it clear that Perri will not be number one next season.

Which lead to Italian side Torino reaching out to sign the 28-year old.

The Serie A club have been in intense talks over a move for the last couple of weeks. Perri has agreed to personal terms, and Leeds will give the greenlight when James Trafford arrives.

La Stampa newspaper in Italy (relayed via Toro News) has revealed that Lucas Perri will join Torino on loan, with a £8.5 to £9.4 million buy option.

When will James Trafford’s move be completed?

Leeds have been in talks with Manchester City for Trafford since last week.

Many thought the deal would be completed this week, but as of Friday nothing has been confirmed. Graham Smyth noted on Thursday night that a deal like this will take time.

Most of it will revolve around the contract details and possible transfer fee.

James Trafford has already agreed personal terms and wants the move. Manchester City are also moving quickly to secure a backup keeper as the England international prepares to leave.

Fans should not be worried, as all parties indicate that a deal will go through soon.
