Leeds United turned things around near the middle of the season. After Daniel Farke found the tactics and team selection that worked, the Whites went on a long unbeaten run.

Even though they failed to gain maximum points, they got enough results to keep them above the relegation zone. But things have changed drastically over the past month. Leeds have only picked up two points from their last four league games.

That slip up was enough to cut the point gap to the bottom of the table, and now the club are looking over their shoulders. The Whites have a big game coming up against Manchester United, and because they have been struggling over the last month, it is a daunting task.

Four teams are now competing to avoid the last spot in the bottom three at the end of the season. Just three points separate Leeds United, Spurs, Nottingham Forest and West Ham. Things may go down to the wire, but former Chelsea man Pat Nevin believes that the Whites have some fight left in them and thinks they can get enough points to go over the line.

“I’ve been to see Leeds and thought, ‘They’re not a team that’s going down’. I’ve been to West Ham recently, and they don’t look like a team going down. And I’ve been to see Forest, and they don’t look like a team going down.” he said on BBC Match of the Day.

“I am going to be quite silent about Tottenham because, since the turn of the year, that is what they have looked like. I’m not saying they’re going down, but [Roberto] De Zerbi has got some job to do.”

Even though Leeds have slipped up and let their cushion go, they have put up a better fight than most of the other teams at the bottom. Spurs do not look like they can find a win from anywhere, and are currently in the relegation zone. Meanwhile, West Ham and Nottingham Forest are starting to slowly pick up some crucial results in their battle for survival. The upcoming run of games looks very daunting for the Whites, but they have managed to pull of some incredible results this season.
