Leeds United beating Newcastle at Elland Road has become a huge talking point following last weekend. And now many pundits, including Simon Jordan, have had their say on the Whites this season.
Matthias Jaissle’s side were unbeaten in the league before visiting Elland Road on Monday night.
And after 45 minutes, they found themselves three goals down. Newcastle United could not withstand the pressure, and the atmosphere disrupted how the team normally play.
Leeds made matters worse in the second half, scoring a fourth. They looked to be heading for a clean sheet before the Magpies pulled one back to end the game 4-1.
Goals from Jayden Bogle, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor were enough to put the game beyond reach for the visitors.

Leeds United’s performance at Elland Road has sparked a lot of conversations around their season.
Before this campaign began, many had tipped the Whites to finish above 14th place, where they managed to finish last year. And looking at their start this time around, it is a possibility.
Simon Jordan said on talkSPORT that he believes this Leeds is good enough to finish in a European place.
“I talked about teams that are going to do well this season, and I said Leeds were going to do well.
“They might be an outside bet to do something significant this season, like getting into Europe.”
“They have stayed with their manager, and rightly so, because all the noise that was coming about last year was based on his previous scenarios at Norwich where he was given no support.”
“Now you have a team that is together, he [Farke] changed the way they play and set themselves up differently and made themselves difficult to beat.”

Are Leeds good enough to make Europe?
There is no obvious answer to the question, but Leeds look like a much better side than they were last season.
And this year, they have the advantage of most of the top half of the table competing in European competitions. This means that those clubs will be stretched as they play multiple games midweek.
Leeds on the other hand, will have a much less intense schedule and will have days to prepare for games against clubs competing in Europe.
So it is not far fetched that the Whites can clinch a European place if they continue at this pace. But only time will tell as the season goes on.
