Leeds United have done decent business this summer to strengthen their squad. But they need more to improve on last season’s 14th-place finish.
Harry Wilson arrived on a free transfer earlier this month before Leeds splashed out £34m to sign centre-back Tarik Muharemovic from Sassuolo in a major deal.
Leeds are closing in on the club-record signing of James Trafford from Manchester City in a deal worth £45m. However, their summer has not been without disappointment, with Julian Brandt turning down a move to Elland Road in favour of Ajax.
The Whites are still in the market for an attacking midfielder as Daniel Farke is aware that he needs more creativity in his team to move forward next season.

Leeds United target is up for sale as manager opens door for departure
With Brandt joining Ajax and Igor Paixao still reluctant to leave Marseille, despite what the French club want, Leeds are looking at other attacking midfield options.
Leeds have been heavily linked with a move for Lyon attacking midfielder Pavel Sulc, and according to the Daily Mirror, Leeds did make contact for the Czech start a few weeks back.
The Whites are yet to follow up on their initial contact, but several other clubs such as Aston Villa and Everton are now showing a keen interest in the attacking midfielder.
Sulc, who scored 15 goals and registered 10 assists in 42 appearances last season, is likely to leave Lyon this summer for somewhere around £21m, and manager Paulo Fonseca confirmed it this week.
The attacking midfielder was left out of Lyon’s 2-1 defeat at Sparta Prague in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier last week.
A knee inflammation was cited as the official reason, but Fonseca’s words made it clear that Sulc is up for sale this summer.
“[Pavel] has the possibility of going to another club as well”, Fonseca said in a press conference this week.
“His value in Europe is high, and many clubs are interested in him; that’s normal.”
Leeds need to decide soon whether they want Pavel Sulc
The Whites’ pursuit of Julian Brandt shows that Daniel Farke wants to add more creativity and goals to his midfield this summer.
Failure to convince the German to move to Elland Road was a blow, but Leeds must pivot to a new target soon to ensure they get one of their summer priorities sorted.
Igor Paixao is a target, but he is reluctant to leave Marseille. Leeds have a chance to sign another Ligue 1 star in Sulc, who outperformed the Brazilian.
Leeds are clearly interested, but they need to firm up on whether they are really keen to sign the Czech star and make a concrete move soon.
Aston Villa are also interested, and they can offer Champions League football to Sulc, which Leeds can’t.
Take him in a heartbeat over Piaxico. Go back in for Romano Schmid too. Combined they will cost about the same and compliment each other perfectly. They will be brilliant behind dcl
paixao can get stuffed!
Agree with Dave, Piaxao can go f..k himself, along with Brandt ! Neither of the 2 wanted to come to EL, so why the hell are we even considering a move for Piaxao ? We need players that want to play for us and got their heart and soul in the club. Same goes for Solomon, i’m a big fan of his but he had his chance of coming back to us and chose to go elsewhere. Now nobody really wants him, he’s now ‘desperate’ to return to the club he ‘loves’, REALLY ???? Myself, I would go for Zian Flemming, class act.
