Leeds United have made it clear that they are willing to make big moves this summer to strengthen the team. The Whites secured another season in the Premier League and want to establish themselves going forward.
Daniel Farke already mentioned that the club’s ownership need to step up and invest in the first team.
And the two summer signings have been a direct response to that. Leeds signed Harry Wilson ahead of rivals Aston Villa and West Ham. They also landed Tarik Muharemovic despite interest from Premier League sides.
This summer window is seen as a serious chance to upgrade on the current options in the team.
A 14th-placed finish was possible after £100 million was invested in the last summer window.
Champions League club’s stance revealed after Leeds United interest
Leeds United averaged around £10 million per player last year, but their targets this time around could exceed that.
£34 million has already been spent on Tarik Muharemovic, and the other targets being linked will also command hefty fees. James Trafford and Shea Charles are other deals being lined up for the Whites.
Corriere Dello Sport in Italy have revealed that Leeds are interested in a move for Inter Milan midfielder Petar Sucic.
The report adds that the interest in the Croatian is concrete, with the Whites willing to pay over £34 million to land the 22-year old. They are not alone, as Newcastle have also been named as suitors.
However, Inter Milan are adamant that the midfielder is not for sale. They are not interested in a sale, and view Sucic as a key player going forward.
It is believed that the only thing that could tempt the club is a ‘monstrous’ or ‘irresistible’ offer that exceeds the £34 million Leeds want to pay.

Last summer saw the Leeds United miss out on key targets due to PSR constraints.
The club were linked with quality players, but were handicapped during the transfer window. This time around, there seems to be a lot of focus on attainable targets in the window.
Leeds have targeted more ‘ high profile’ players going forward instead of finding bargains like they did last year.
Petar Sucic is a fantastic midfielder starring for a Champions League club, signing a player like him would be a huge statement. He clearly has the quality to be a starter in the Premier League.
As to whether he can be signed is a different story, but the 49ers are being really ambitious in this offseason.
