49ers will be on edge as Premier League rivals make ‘concrete offer’ for Leeds United transfer target

Leeds United

Leeds United know their situation with 11 games to go in the Premier League. Their survival has not been confirmed, so now the club have to get enough points on the board to clinch safety.

Daniel Farke’s switch up near the end of the year had yielded serious results. The Whites have now moved up to 15th place, six points above the relegation zone. Their recent run has seen them take points from Nottingham Forest, Chelsea and Aston Villa.

While they continue their fight to guarantee their stay in the top flight for next season, the 49ers are already busy making plans. According to reports, the club could have in excess of £100 million to spend if they do survive.

Premier League rivals keen on Leeds United target

Most of that money will definitely be used to improve upon this squad ahead of a potential second season in the league. Leeds United have recently been linked with Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui. The 22-year old has been impressing in the Belgian league this season, and reports say he has a long list of suitors.

Per Africa Foot, Wolves are in the driving seat as they have a ‘concrete’ offer on the table for the Algerian. The deal will not go through at this time, as talks have been halted. Per the report, the player and his agency are hesitant to give a green light to the move to Wolves because they might get relegated. Charleroi, however, are open to sell, with Titraoui said to have a £7 million price tag.

Leeds can secure their future this season

As a Premier League club, you are more likely than not to be able to land big names in Europe. Look at what Leeds’ recruitment did this summer; landing players from Udinese, Hoffenheim and even a player from Lyon in Ligue 1. The status in the league alone is a huge trump card to land signings when the opportunity to present itself. This is why Leeds United need to ensure their safety this season.

The club getting another Premier League campaign on their books does so much for them financially. With increased broadcast deals, and the potential revenue from the Elland Road expansion, the future is bright for the Elland Road faithful. From now till the end of the season, every game is a final as the club look to guarantee their spot next season.
