BREAKING: Georginio Rutter and Junior Firpo START vs Rotherham

Leeds United forward Georginio Rutter wins the race in time as he starts against Rotherham United tonight.

Fullback Junior Firpo is also a surprise inclusion in Friday night’s clash with the Millers.

Daniel Farke all but ruled the striker out of contention for the clash against the Millers after he picked up an abdominal strain on duty with the French Under 21 national team.

This is what Farke said pre-match:

“Late decision on Gelhardt, Shackleton and Spence. Shackleton wasn’t out too long so it would be easier. Spence is the most difficult position, he had a difficult pre-season and has been out for eight weeks. It depends on which position int he squad we need. There are question marks behind some players. Rutter is a big doubt because he came back with an abdominal strain. He hasn’t been able to train with us.”

Rutter has been a big contributor to Leeds United’s attack this season; scoring 3 goals and providing 5 assists in the league so far.

Junior Firpo also makes a rare appearance on Friday night after the fullback has come back to full fitness in the past few weeks.

Leeds United XI vs Rotherham:

Meslier; Gray, Cooper, Rodon, Firpo; Ampadu, Kamara; James, Rutter, Summerville; Piroe
