Leeds United forward Dan James believes their upcoming fixture against Middlesbrough will be tough as they are a great team with a great coach.
Leeds are in flying form as they currently sit in third place in the Championship, eight points behind league leaders Leicester City. The Whites remain the only team in the league unbeaten at home this season.
Daniel James has been a big part of that; his five goals and four assists this season have propelled The Whites to a stunning start this campaign. Ahead of the game against Middlesbrough, James believes it will be a very tough task:
“It’s a big win for us. Getting back to winning ways, we have 13 points from 15, so we have to keep continuing that. It’s going really well here [at Elland Road]. Every time we play here we have the fans behind us. We have to try and keep that form up and try and get as many results away as well.”
“It’s hard coming back from internationals and getting straight into it. They [Middlesbrough] are going to be a tough opponent, they have a great manager and it’s going to be a tough one. They are a team that plays great football and it will be great for the spectators.”
James has been in fantastic form this season, and has made his mark in the team. He started this season as a rotation player and now is one of the first names on the team sheet.
In Wednesday’s win over Swansea City, James latched onto a pass from Georginio Rutter to score his fifth goal of the season and ended the game at 3-1.
He will have to continue that form when The Whites host Middlesbrough on Saturday.
