Leeds United have already signed Harry Wilson on a free transfer and have a deal in place to sign Tarik Muharemovic from Serie A club Sassuolo.

The Whites have stepped up their efforts to strengthen their squad this month and are expected to finalise the arrival of Muharemovic for ÂŁ34m in the coming days.

Leeds are plotting a major spending spree before the end of the transfer window, and are looking to sign upgrades for several areas of their squad.

However, Leeds are also mindful about potential exits, and the players they need to move on this summer. But Daniel Farke has put one departure on hold.

Daniel Farke wants a replacement before sanctioning key player’s departure

The Leeds boss wants to see more ambition from the club this summer, and the impending arrival of Muharemovic is a sign of what they want.

However, Farke has a few major headaches to solve as there are areas of his squad that badly need strengthening before the end of the window.

Leeds were banking on Karl Darlow to stay at Elland Road this summer. However, his decision to move on and join Manchester United has changed plans at Elland Road.

Lucas Perri has an offer to move to Italy this summer, with Torino identifying him as their primary goalkeeping target ahead of the new season.

However, according to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Farke and Leeds are not interested in listening to offers for the Brazilian until a new goalkeeper is signed.

They would be open to letting Perri leave Elland Road once they bring in a new goalkeeper this summer.

For the moment, any idea of selling or loaning the goalkeeper out has been put on hold until a replacement is signed.

Leeds will need two goalkeepers before letting Lucas Perri leave

The Whites were in the market for a new goalkeeper even before Darlow decided against signing a new contract and joining Manchester United on a free transfer.

Perri was always expected to be moved on this summer. However, they now need two goalkeepers before the Brazilian can be allowed to leave.

Alex Cairns has not played for Leeds since joining and is not seen as anything more than a third-choice goalkeeper this summer.

They still need to replace Darlow and bring in another goalkeeper to replace Perri before the Brazilian can leave Elland Road in the coming weeks.

Perri’s future is unlikely to be sorted any time soon, and he could still stay if Leeds sign only one goalkeeper.

Sounds like Fred Karno has taken on the job of selling and recruiting players for Leeds United. What a fiasco.
