Leeds United return to Premier League action this weekend and they have a difficult fixture against Crystal Palace. There are nine league games left for the Whites to secure their safety.
And the fixture list is a difficult one for Daniel Farke’s side – they face a lot of teams in and around them from now till the end of the season. This weekend has become a must win game after what happened in the last few weeks. Leeds lost two games and now their relegation rivals have closed the gap. Daniel Farke now has to make sure his side manage to get a result on Sunday.
Oliver Glasner gives verdict on Leeds United boss Daniel Farke
Ahead of the game, Oliver Glasner has pointed out that this fixture will be much different from what happened at Elland Road a few months ago. Leeds won that tie 4-1 and the game took place just days after a Conference League fixture – just like this weekend’s will.
Glasner has also given his opinion on Daniel Farke this season, and how the Leeds boss has done with his team.
”[He’s been] Excellent, getting promoted and doing so well, and also turning the right tweaks during the season.”
”I think they had a difficult start, and then were doing really well, especially at home. It looked like it was a fortress very long, or it is still, I think, with just the [0-1]
”loss against [Manchester] City, but I think they could have won this game. They didn’t take their chances, and then they got punished in one game.”

Whites must get their tactics spot on
Away games have been a problem for Leeds United all season, but in their last few games, Farke seems to have found a solution. Leeds have lost just one game on the road out of their last nine. The Whites managed to pull off huge results away to Chelsea and Aston Villa in the last two games. Farke got the tactics spot on then, and must now get them right again.
| Games | Wins | Draws | Losses | GF | GA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 9 | 2 | 6 | 1 | 13 | 11 |
| Win rate: 75% | Points per game: 2.42 | Goal difference: +16 | |||||
He has chosen a more conservative approach on the road while relying on transitions. And this has worked to perfection against Everton and Aston Villa – two games fans will argue the Whites should have gotten more from. If Leeds get the tactics spot on away to Crystal Palace, then fans can even be confident of a win on Sunday.
