Leeds United are in a battle for their survival with nine games to go in the Premier League. They are three points above the relegation zone, but they could be dragged down if things don’t go their way.
Losing the last two games have seen them dragged back into the fight at the bottom of the table. Now, they have a crucial game against Crystal Palace this weekend an cannot afford to lose. All their relegation rivals have difficult games this weekend, which makes it even more crucial that they pick up points. Sealing another season in the top flight is the priority for the 49ers since they got promoted.
Chris Wilder snubs Harry Gray ahead of summer window
Speaking about promotion, Sheffield United suffered a huge blow over the week after losing to Norwich City. The Blades are eight points off a play-off place with nine games to go. Chris Wilder and his side will be desperate to get a shot at Premier League football at the end of the season. This is why the club was active in January, signing four players – with three of them being former Leeds United players.
This past week, Chris Wilder has shut down any talk of Sheffield United making a move for Harry Gray in the summer. Reports have linked the young striker with a move to the Blades, and now Wilder has made things clear. The 58-year old told The Star newspaper that his team will be looking for more experienced players when the summer window comes around.
Sheffield United have signed the likes of Patrick Bamford, Joe Rothwell and Kalvin Phillips over the last few months, and it seems to be working. The Blades were near the bottom of the table, but now have a slim chance of making the play-offs this summer.

Whites need to plan youngster’s next move carefully
Leeds gave the green light for Harry Gray to leave on loan in January because he pushed for it. And even though things have not been perfect, he is earning experience and first team minutes on loan at Rotherham. He has showed quality in some games, and has proved he can score at first team level. Harry Gray is not that far off being a starter at Elland Road, but his next step will be crucial. The club need to decide where he lands and make sure that the transition is well-strategized.
