The saga at Man United is far from over, after the draw against Leeds United, things have only gotten worse. Michael Carrick’s side were battered 3-0 by Bournemouth last weekend.
The red devils are now winless in seven, with their last Premier League victory coming in August.
Leeds were tipped as favourites to beat their rivals at Elland Road, but the players failed to covert their chances on the day. The result would have been much different if the visitors scored after Bryan Mbuemo’s opener.
While things at Elland Road have remained calm in this period, over at Old Trafford things have shaken up.

There was news that Michael Carrick was set to be sacked this past week, but after crisis talks, he is expected to remain in charge.
Man have absolved Carrick of blame, but rather slammed the hierarchy above him, including those responsible for the transfers. Former Everton scout Bra King has slammed Jason Wilcox ad the Man United recruitment team for their poor work.
Wilcox played for Leeds between 1999 and 2004, and made a name for himself at Elland Road.
“It’s wrong. This is where football shoots itself in the foot every time. Especially today, because you have people who buy clubs, who think they’re going to get instant results,” he told Football Insider.
“Unfortunately, football isn’t like business. You’re relying on 14, 15 players to perform every week and win matches. Well, at the moment, you’ve got a football club that don’t look as though they can win a match.
“Imagine being a manager and working under the premise of, ‘results are not good, so hang on a minute, every paper is filled with I’m going to get the sack.’
“You’ve got a team, a team, quite an expensive team, of non-triers. You’re meant to be fighting for the badge, your manager, the club, the fans. I’ve never seen such an inept bunch of footballers in my life. They’re a disgrace.
“They’re a disgrace to Michael Carrick, and don’t I wish that the people that should be sacked would be sacked. Wilcox and his gang, the recruitment gang, the man who owns the football club, whoever advises him.”

A good hierarchy goes a long way
At the elite level, having a good manager is only part of the parcel. Look at Leeds United, Daniel Farke has been a great coach since he took over in 2023, but the 49ers have backed him in the market.
He got signings in the season Leeds were promoted, and got key reinforcements last year.
That helped the team to be strong enough to survive relegation, and now the Whites look like a solid Premier League side. If the owners had not backed Farke in recent seasons, things would not be this way.
Wilcox and his team deserve their criticism, and should take it on board to help the club’s ambition.
