Leeds United made the difficult decision to let go of a handful of players this summer. But this was required as the Whites set out to improve on a team that survived the Premier League.
The club was able to get decent transfer fees for Joe Gelhardt, Pascal Struijk and Isaac Schmidt.
Other players had to leave because of their huge wages; Max Wober’s contract was terminated and Jack Harrison was sold to a club in the MLS.
A lot of players also found their way out of Elland Road on loan deals. Since clubs could not agree on permanet transfers, the likes of Sebastiaan Bornauw, Largie Ramazai ad Joel Piroe all left on temporary deals.
How 7 players are faring after leaving Leeds United this summer
Leaving Leeds United is never easy for everyone; some thrive in their new environment and others have different experiences.
It is very difficult to win over the crowd at Elland Road, and players can lose their support very quickly. A total of 13 players left Elland Road on temporary and permanent transfers.
Some also left as free agents. The Leeds Press takes a look at how seven of them are faring this early in the season.

Struijk left Leeds because he wanted a fresh challenge, and when Brighton came with a good offer, he left.
But life has not goe smoothly for him; he has started just two games this season and made four appearances in total. He seems to be behind a few defenders in the pecking order.

After helping Hull win promotion, the Tigers were eager to sign him.
It took a while before he made the switch from Leeds. His start to the season has not been the best, just two appearaces ad 45 minutes played in all competitions.

The winger was a surprise exit on deadline day, and by all accounts he was eager to seal a move to Fioretia.
Gnonto has had a mixed start to the season so far. He has a goal in the Coppa Italia, but has yet to earn the trust of the new manager.
Sebastiaan Bornauw

Bornauw chose to move when HSV came this summer.
Unfortunately for him, he picked up a injury early in the season. He has played three full games yet, and is likely to continue as a starter in the team.

Piroe looks like a whole new player at West Ham.
He scored on his first game for the Hammers, and has added two more goals since then.
Max Wober

Wober has already made more appearances for Schalke than he did on loan at Werder Bremen last year.
The defender looks to have put his injuries behind him so far this season. He scored a goal for his new club a few weeks ago.
