‘I won’t beg’ – Daniel Farke breaks silence on Largie Ramazani shock Leeds United exit

Credit: Valencia CF

One of the most debated decisions from Leeds United in the summer was the call to let Largie Ramazani join Valencia on loan, while Daniel Farke implored for more attackers. The manager has now lifted the curtain on the controversial call last month.

Leeds fans have been divided over whether it was the right decision to let Ramazani join the Spanish club on loan in the summer transfer window. Many feel the winger didn’t receive enough opportunities last season in the Championship.

The Whites were happy to let the winger leave on loan, and gave up the option to recall him in the winter transfer window as a compromise for Valencia agreeing to drop their demand of including an option to buy him next year.

Leeds hope that Ramazani will get more opportunities to play in La Liga this season, and will return a better player to Elland Road next summer, when he could get one more crack at making it under Farke.

Can you name these 10 former Leeds United strikers?

Daniel Farke opens up on the exit of Largie Ramazani from Leeds

Leeds fans were not big fans of the decision to loan out the Belgian, but the manager pointed out that the winger could not even get regular game time in he Championship last season.

However, he stressed that he still rates the player and indicated that if the winger himself hadn’t pushed to leave Leeds and return to Spain this smmer, Ramazani might have stayed at Elland Road.

The Leeds boss stressed that he was not going to request any player, who wanted to leave, to stay at the club.

“With Largie Ramazani, I spoke about how much I rate him, but it’s a fact that even in the Championship level, he was struggling for game time”, Farke said in a press conference.

“We decided on Willy Gnonto, Dan James and Manor Solomon [in the Championship].

“It was also his wish to get game time; he wanted to have this move to La Liga. If a player wants that move, I’m not begging a player to stay; I leave it with people to get the best possible deal.”

‘We decided’ do fuck off and take full responsibility for your decisions Daniel, this is why I have doubts about Farke, he wont take responsibility for his own decisions/ Man up for christs sake or ship out.
