This comes after reports from Italy that the Manchester City star would arrive next week to complete the transfer, that would allow Lucas Perri to join Torino on loan.
Trafford has posted an update on his Instagram page, showing himself at a running track ready to train.
It is believed to be the Sheepmouth Athletics Stadium in Carlisle. Many players start their personal training when they return from their breaks before joining their club for pre-season preparations.
With James Trafford back in England, it will be a matter of days before everything is wrapped up and the transfer is made official.

When should Leeds fans expect the deal to be completed
Per multiple reports, talks are far advanced and the only things that remain will be the finishing touches on the deal.
Trafford will join Leeds for a package believed to be in excess of £40 million this summer. And if reports are to be believed, he will become one of the highest earners at Elland Road.
