Leeds United are now sweating over some of the transfer deals the made in the summer window. It is down to mainly the departures from the first team, but in recent weeks some new signings are under the spotlight.

Harry Wilson was brought in to help boost the attack, and operate as a playmaker for a team that struggles to create. So far, he is yet to provide any meaningful contributions and has just one goal involvement this season.

Question marks have also been raised over deals for Melvin Bard and John-Matteo Bahoya.

From every indication, it is clear that Leeds see the latter as a project, and as a result, Farke is hesitant to trust him to play full games in the league this season. When it comes to Bard, the defender has just two appearances so far.

On the flip side, the Whites should be very concerned about some of the departures in the summer widow.

The club let go of Joel Piroe, Lucas Perri and Wilfried Gnonto on loan deals. All of them have options to buy in their contracts, but with how things are progressing, it would be hard to make a case for them.

None of them are really playing well enough for their current teams to pick up their buy options.

Speaking of loans, one Leeds star seems to making a good account of himself out on loan. Charlie Crew earned his sixth start of the season for Walsall in their 3-1 win over Colchester United.

The midfielder is now in a groove, and has said that he hopes his performances will keep him in the starting lineup going forward.

“[I am] pleased for the gaffer to pick me to play this game.” he said speaking to club media.

“You want to play every game as a young player but staying patient, working hard every day on the pitch.

“[You have got to show it] when you come on, you have to make an impact, and get your name into the gaffer’s thoughts.

“[I am] pleased to play today and hopefully the performance was alright.”

Charlie Crew is making the most of his loan deal

Crew’s loan is very different from what his first team cohorts are experiencing now, but what he is doing is what everyone should do.

Take our chances and impress in hopes of making the starting lineup and keeping our spot there. The young midfielder is gaining valuable experience at that level and learning the game as he hopes to star in the Leeds first team.

The problem with Piroe, Gnonto and Perri is that the are not making the most of their chances.

Perri was dropped because he cant score, Gnonto has not done much to get a spot in the team, and Perri could be benched if he keeps making mistakes as a starter.
