The start of the season has been dominated by news of Daniel Farke possibly earning a new contract as Leeds United boss. Much has been made of the club’s decision since the end of last season.
In the final weeks of the recent campaign, Farke expressed his interest in continuing in the current role.
He has been a very important addition to the club; the 49ers chose him to bring Leeds to the top flight, and he has exceeded that. The German coach has kept the team in the league, and could do even more this season.
Following this summer window, people around the club are convinced that Farke will earn a new contract.
The Leeds boss asked the ownership to invest in the squad, and they did just much in the summer window.

There has been talk that Daniel Farke and Leeds United could reach an agreement during the international break. But so far, nothing has been announced with just days till the league resumes.
News has emerged about a new contract at Elland Road, but it is not for Farke.
Per Football Insider, Lukas Nmecha has been lined up for a new deal. The Whites are confident that they will keep the forward beyond the end of this season with contract talks in the plans.
Nmecha’s current deal expires next summer and he will be free to discuss a pre-contract in January.
The forward had interest from Wrexham in the summer window, but he eventually remained at Elland Road.

Leeds’ plans for a new striker are clear
There were reports that the Whites were keen on adding a centre forward in the summer window. But the club decided to go with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha for this campaign.
Club chief Robbie Evans already explained why plans for a striker were shelved.
Leeds were looking for a player ready to have a backup role and not be a starter; that player also needed to fit in the transfer budget.
This played a huge part in why Nmecha remained, as the club could not find a striker that ticked all of these boxes.
So the smart plan for the 49ers would be to keep the German around for at least another season as they finalize their search for a new striker.
