Leeds turn down bid for Cresswell as clubs eye defender this summer

Leeds United have reportedly rejected a bid from Rangers for defender Charlie Cresswell.

This news comes just hours after it was revealed Everton were in talks with Leeds duo Jack Harrison and Wilfried Gnonto. The queue out of the door at Elland Road continues to grow, with multiple names linked with exits this summer.

Cresswell had an outstanding season on loan at Milwall in the Championship last year, establishing himself as one of the best young defenders in the country. At the end of the season, he earned a call up to the England U21 side this summer.

No deal has been agreed for the defender according to the source, Football League World, Rangers are very keen to strike a deal. The 20-year old has two years remaining on his current Leeds deal and is not in a hurry to leave the club.

Cresswell is currently in England camp ahead of the U21 European Championships which kick off this week.
